Contacting Companies for Coupons
I have been contacting different companies lately to ask for coupons or free samples to help cut the cost of my favorite foods or products. I recently stubbled across another blog post called the Flattery Project. This man has come up with the perfect note to send to companies when you contact them:
I wanted to say that I'm a huge fan of your company.
I've been a long time buyer of [product, service] and can't imagine buying anything else. I know a lot of folks probably email to complain and it can be tough responding to those, so I thought I'd add a little sunshine.
You're doing great work, it's appreciated in our house, and I wanted to say thanks.
I don't know if you have any samples or coupons you could send my way but I'd be most appreciative to try more of your products.
Thank you and have a great day! Maddie
I customized it a little for each company adding a little bit more personal flare to let the companies know exactly how much I liked their products. I also included that I was a college student and money was tight so anything helps, which made a big difference (in my opinion) in the companies that emailed me back.
I hope this helps give y'all some ideas on how to contact companies!
Here is a running list of companies that have actually sent me coupons! I try to email companies several times a year because you never know when a new company will send you them based on a certain time of year. I hope this helps!
